Theodore A. Perkins was born on June 22, 1924 in Howell County, Missouri. He was the son of William Riley Perkins and Ida Elizabeth Horn Perkins. He received his education in Koshkonong schools. He attended the Christian schools there. Theodore was inducted into the service at West Plains in the Spring of 1943 and had been in the service 17 months at the time he was killed. From West Plains, he went to Jefferson Barracks. He received his basic training at Camp Campbell and Fort Knox, Ky. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technician Fifth Grade in the 745th Tank Battalion. He was Killed in Action on September 19, 1944 in Germany at the age of 20 and is now buried in Union Hill Cemetery, Brandsville, Howell County, Missouri, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry monument in Henri-Chapelle, Belgium and ranked as a Corporal.
