Glenn E. Gaither was born on July 23, 1925 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana. He was the son of Joseph Verley Gaither and Lillie Mae Allen Gaither. Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 30, 1944 during the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium at the age of 19 and is now buried in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana, USA.
