Edward Houlton Doyle, Jr. was born on February 10, 1917 in Caribou, Aroostook County, Maine. He was the son of Edward Houlton Doyle and Blanche E. Berry Doyle. Edward served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 8, 1944 in Belgium at the age of 27 and is now buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou, Aroostook County, Maine, USA.
