He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents. Marcel served as a Private, Engineers, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Coos County, New Hampshire prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on October 20, 1944 at the age of 21 and is now buried in Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
