Day Charles Gohn was born on August 12, 1925. He was the son of Charles Freemond Gohn and Martha Lavina Wilson Grove. Day attended school in Wrightsville and was employed by the Dentists Supply company before entering the service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Medical Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on cc in Germany at the age of 19 and is now buried in Dallastown Union Cemetery, Dallastown, York County, Pennsylvania, USA.
