Pfc. Strader was born in Potsdam, August 2, 1915, son of Charles and Bertha Strader and attended Potsdam High School. He joined the army in 1941 and went overseas with the infantry in July, 1942. Theodore served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 18, 1944 at the age of 29 and is now buried in Crary Mills Cemetery, Canton, St. Lawrence County, New York, USA.
