Charles O. Hodge was born on December 25, 1915. He was the son of Wayne Hodge and Ruth E. Stebbins Hodge. He attended Roosevelt school in Grant County and graduated from Marion High School in 1934. He enterd the Army in February 1944, and was trained at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 23, 1944 in Hurtgen Forest, Germany at the age of 28 and is now buried in Estates of Serenity, Marion, Grant County, Indiana, USA.
