Lee S. Ferris was born on February 6, 1915 in Peekskill, Westchester County, New York. He was the son of Dean Ferris and Ella Thompson Ferris. Lee served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on December 2, 1944 in Germany and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He also has a cenotaph located in Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County, New York, USA.
