Joseph S. �Stanley� Grondine was born on June 6, 1920 in Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. He was the son of Napoleon Grondine and Christiana Savoie Grondine. Joseph served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on November 29, 1944 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He also has a cenotaph located in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Taunton, Bristol County, Massachusetts, USA.
