Joseph Laurier F. LeBlanc was born on April 29, 1919 in Maine. He enlisted in the Army on November 30, 1940, prior to the war, in Portland, Maine. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents. Joseph served as a Technical Sergeant, Medical Department, Company F, 26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Androscoggin County, Maine prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on October 15, 1944 in Germany at the age of 25 and is now buried in Saint Peter's Cemetery, Lewiston, Androscoggin County, Maine, USA.
