Erich Heinrich Schneider was born on May 21, 1909 in Germany. He immigrated in 1928, at 18 yrs of age and lived with his sister. Erich served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company C, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 23, 1944 at the age of 35 and is now buried in Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, Chemung County, New York, USA.
