Kenneth E. Vershum was born on July 16, 1923 in Broadview, Yellowstone County, Montana. He was the son of Bernard Thornton Vershum and Florence May Quinn Vershum. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 22, 1944 in Germany at the age of 21 and is now buried in Crescent Grove Cemetery, Tigard, Washington County, Oregon, USA.
