James Spicer Walker was born on July 14, 1920 in Glover, Orleans County, Vermont. He was the son of Irvin J. Walker and Bessie A. Spicer Walker. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company B, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 20, 1944 in Germany at the age of 24 and is now buried in Westlook Cemetery, Glover, Orleans County, Vermont, USA.
