Donald E. Tamburri was born on March 23, 1914. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luigi Tamburri. Prior to entering the armed forces the soldier was associated with his brother in a grocery business. Donald served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on September 16, 1914 in Aachen, Germany at the age of 30 and is now buried in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Oliver, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.
