Clair E. Rodgers was born on February 26, 1911 in Clarington, Forest County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Joseph Lindsey Rodgers and Mary Roselle Silvis Rodgers. Clair served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on September 16, 1944 in Germany at the age of 33 and is now buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Forest County, Pennsylvania, USA. A commemorative brick is placed along wall (Section AHZ 5 28) in National World War II Museum for him.
