Clide F. McQuain was born on October 23, 1920. He was the son of Alexander Thomas McQuain and Mintie Carpenter McQuain. Clide served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on November 27, 1944 at the age of 24 and is now buried in High Knob Cemetery, Braxton County, West Virginia, USA.
