David W. Reynolds was born on December 19, 1921 in Lugoff, Kershaw County, South Carolina. He was the son of George W. Reynolds and Pearl Branham Reynolds. David served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on October 8, 1944 in Germany at the age of 22 and is now buried in Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery, Elgin, Kershaw County, South Carolina, USA.
