Raymond Warren Williams was born on February 26, 1918 in Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. He was the son of John Williams and Minnie J. McCurtain Hill. He joined the Army in 1941. Raymond served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Staff Sergeant in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was in the African invasion, and was wounded in action in Sicily, as well as several times before his death in the Battle of the Bulge on November 19, 1944. He is now buried in Antlers City Cemetery, Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma, USA.
