Charles T. Brewer, Jr. was a graduate of the Johnston Station High school, and attended Southwest Junior College, later being employed as a fireman for the Illinois Central Railroad System. His entrance into the service took place in 1942 in Mississippi. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on October 16, 1944 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
