Robert K. McAuliffe was born on September 18, 1921. He was the son of John J. McAuliffe and Catherine Mary Donovan McAuliffe. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 17, 1944 in Germany at the age of 23 and is now buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
