He was noted as being employed as a Farm hand and also as Single, with dependents. Joseph served as a Private First Class, Company B, 26th Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on September 16, 1944 at the age of 19 and is now buried in Nativity Cemetery, Orchard Park, Erie County, New York, USA.
