Richard Edward Nibert was born on December 9, 1910 in Grigston, Scott County, Kansas. He was the son of Edward Roland Nibert and Maude May Bush Nibert. Richard served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on October 8, 1944 in Germany at the age of 33 and is now buried in Wichita Park Cemetery and Mausoleum, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas, USA.
