Edward Potter Sanderson was born on August 20, 1925. He was the son of Bennett Sanderson and Caroline Potter Sanderson. Edward entered the military service in New Jersey and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on November 17, 1944 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He also has a cenotaph located in Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
