Henry Reitz was born on May 25, 1923 in Bridgman, Berrien County, Michigan. He was the son of Peter Reitz and Katherine Reitz. Henry served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 20, 1944 in Germany at the age of 21 and is now buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Three Oaks, Berrien County, Michigan, USA.
