Myrl Delbert Heusel was born on January 10, 1924 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. He was the son of Frank William Heusel and Ruth Electa Knight Heusel. He enlisted in the Army on February 20, 1943. Myrl served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 26, 1944 in Germany at the age of 20 and is now buried in Bethlehem Cemetery, Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, USA.
