Walter Joseph LaCour was born on October 21, 1919 in Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Frank Joseph LaCoure and Elizabeth C. Kenyon LaCoure. Walter served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on October 18, 1944 at the age of 24 and is now buried in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, Wisconsin, USA.
