Paul Taylor was born on November 25, 1914 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. He was the son of Thomas Burgin Taylor and Etta Cleo Bartlett Taylor. He entered the service and was trained in Alabama, serving overseas for two months before his perish. Paul served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 22, 1944 in Germany at the age of 29 and is now buried in Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA.
