Gale Worth Williams was born on June 6, 1917 in Russell, Russell County, Kansas. He was the son of Francis Worth Williams and Margaret Louise Henning Williams. Williams graduated from Seaman High School in 1935. He was a graduate of Strickler's Business College and was employed at the Topeka State Bank before he entered the service with the National Guard in December, 1940. Gale served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the Field Artillery of the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 27, 1944 in Germany at the age of 27 and is now buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, USA.
