He died on October 29, 1944 at the age of 29 and is now buried in Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Muskogee County, Oklahoma, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry monument in Henri-Chapelle, Belgium and ranked as a Corporal.
