Roy L. Leach was born on April 12, 1922 in Scott County, Kentucky. He was the son of Harry Kenneth Leach and Lillie Melinda Covington Leach. Roy served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company K, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 14, 1944 at the age of 22 and is now buried in Dupont Cemetery, Dupont, Jefferson County, Indiana, USA.
