Ned Everett Witzig was born on November 1, 1920. He was the son of Charles William Witzig and Winifred Elaine Millard Witzig. Ned served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technician Fourth Grade in Company A, 745th Tank Battalion. He was Killed in Action on September 13, 1944 in Germany at the age of 23 and is now buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, Annaton, Grant County, Wisconsin, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry monument in Henri-Chapelle, Belgium and ranked as a Sergeant.
