Roy R. Wiley was born in 1924 in Wyoming. He enlisted in the Army on March 16, 1944 at Fort Logan, Colorado. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, without dependents. Roy served as a Private, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Big Horn County, Wyoming prior to the war. Roy was "Killed In Action" in the Battle of Hürtgen Forest during the war and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
