Frank John Yash was born on May 3, 1917 in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He enlisted in the Army on April 5, 1944. Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company C, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on December 2, 1944 in Germany at the age of 27 and is now buried in Saint John the Baptist Greek Catholic Cemetery, Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA.
