When Leo Edward Jolin was born on June 10, 1904, in Ponca, Nebraska, his father, Theodore, was 34 and his mother, Caroline, was 24. He married Rose Mary Price on November 24, 1923, in Elk Point, South Dakota. They had three children during their marriage. Leo was a US military veteran who is buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris. He died in the American Hospital in Neuilly on December 16, 1968 at the age of 64.
