When Daniel Joseph Curoe, an engineer, was born on March 11, 1925, in New York City, New York, his father, Daniel, was 29 and his mother, Anna, was 26. He had two children. Daniel was a US military veteran who is buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris. He died in the American Hospital in Neuilly in 1964 at the age of 39.
