Joseph Anthony Cistero was born in 1895 in Danbury, Connecticut. He served in the US Army during World War I and attained the rank of Lt Col. Joseph died in Agen in south-west France and was buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris in 1952 at the age of 57.
