Edward Lacoste was born on April 7, 1887, in Paris, Paris, France, the son of Theodore. He was 30 years old and living in Manhattan, New York, when he registered for the World War I draft. He married Emily "Emma" Levinson on January 12, 1931, in Manhattan, New York. He was living in Queens, New York, when he registered for the World War II draft in 1942 at the age of 55. Edward died in the American Hospital in Neuilly and was buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris in 1954 at the age of 67.
