Jean L. Cadet (correct name is Louis Jean), an interpreter, was born in 1901 in Puteaux (neighbouring Neuilly) in France. He was naturalized as a US citizen and served in the US Army during World War I and World War II. Jean died in 1959 at the age of 58 and was buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris.
