Edward Christophe Aslain was born in 1888 in Cairo, Egypt. He was descended from a Turkish family from Smyrna. Edward was a US military veteran who is buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris. He died in the American Hospital in Neuilly in 1947 at the age of 59.
