Joseph A. Brozowski was born on March 12, 1919 in Pennsylvania. He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on January 12, 1943 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He was noted as being employed in a machine shop and also as Single, without dependents. Joseph served as a Corporal in the 285th Field Artillery Observation Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II. He was Killed in Action on December 17, 1944 at the age of 25 and is now buried in the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He was one of the victims of Malmedy massacre near Malmedy, Belgium.
