Rex Franklin Barwick was born on April 4, 1919 in Judyville, Warren County, Indiana. He was the son of Raymond Arthur Barwick and Hazel May Zenor Barwick. He was a B-17 Flying Fortress pilot and was killed on April 9, 1944 over Germany at the age of 25. He is now buried in the Highland Cemetery, Williamsport, Warren County, Indiana, USA. Rex was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
