David Leonard Blue was born on November 9, 1921 in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. He was the son of Walter Langdon Blue and Mary Ethel Kells Blue. David served in the 561st Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Technical Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 9, 1944 in German occupied France and is now buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
