Aaron Louis Brinkoeter was born on September 12, 1919 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. He was the son of Paul and Lenora Brinkoeter of San Antonio. Aaron was a Flight officer in the US Army Air Forces, with the 560th Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group. He was declared "Missing in Action" on July 19, 1944 and is commemorated on the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, United Kingdom. F/O Brinkoeter was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945. His name is commemorated on the 388th Bomb Group Memorial located at Knettishall, England but his surname is inscribed as Brinkotter.
