Andrew William Fabiszewski was born on November 19, 1921. He served in the 562nd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant and Radio Operator/Gunner of #42-3289 "Wolf Pack" aircraft during World War II. A member of the Wick crew, he was killed when their plane crashed on September 6, 1943 when it was shot down by a fighter near Dettingen an der Erms, Germany. Three crew killed, seven bailed out and taken Prisoners of War. Tsgt Fabiszewski is now buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, USA. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
