Carl J. Falba was born on November 11, 1920. He was the son of Joseph Carl Falba and Theresa Rozcwicz Falba. He served in the 561st Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Staff Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner of #42-39804 "Bad Penny" aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 9, 1944 and is now buried in the Saint Joseph's Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, USA. Ssgt Falba was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
