Herbert Joseph Gotha was born in 1920. He served in the 560th Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator of #42-37819 "Jimmy Lee" aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on March 8, 1944 and is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium. He also has a cenotaph located in Paxton Center Cemetery, Paxton, Worcester County, Massachusetts. Second Lieutenant Gotha was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
