Comments:
George Eugene Healy entered the military service in New York. A graduate of Aquinas Institute and a Cornell University student, he was connected with Erskine Healy Inc. Prior to his entering the service. George left Rochester with an anti-aircraft unit in February, 1941 and was transferred to another similar unit in Newfoundland in 1942. He started training as a navigator in March, 1943 at Selman Field, Monroe, La., and was sent overseas. He was Killed in Action on August 25, 1944 and is now buried in the Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupré, Belgium. His aircraft was hit by flak in wing, causing fire.
