Garis Phillip Jacoby served in the 562nd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Second Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of #43-37599 "Moonlight Serenade" aircraft during World War II. A member of the Paaske crew, he was killed when their plane crashed on November 25, 1944. After being shot down, G. P. Jacoby was executed after becoming a POW. His current burial place is unknown. 2Lt Jacoby's current burial place is unknown. He was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
