Carl Arthur Johnson was born on March 19, 1919. He served in the 563rd Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator of #42-30349 aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 6, 1943 and is now buried in the Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA. 2Lt Johnson was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
