Arthur F. Jones, Jr. was born on June 3, 1925 in Texas. He was the son of Arthur Frank Jones and Essie May Barrett. He served in the 561st Bomber Squadron, 388th Bomber Group, Heavy as a First Lieutenant and Co-Pilot of #42-102559 "Star Dust / My True Love" aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 26, 1945 and is now buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, USA. 1Lt Jones was one of the many brave Americans of the 388th Bomber Group who lost their lives in aerial operations against the German forces from June 1943 - August 1945.
